My first post for this blog shall be on Jay Chou concert Show 1! All photos are shot using the Samsung Galaxy S4.
Jay Chou was in town for his Opus World Tour
This is the most expensive concert ticket I've ever bought in my life! But it's definitely worth it! I feel that if you are really interested in going for the concert, and you can afford it, and the tickets are available, go for the most expensive category. You will feel the pinch when you are purchasing the ticket, but when the day comes, you will never regret it.

I saw this at the carpark beside the tent of the merchandise. |
The Rooftop 天台 is his 2nd self-directed movie, coming out in cinemas on 11 July. From what I understand, this is an unusual movie that incorporates musical with Kung Fu, talking about a group of people that lives on the rooftop.

Jay Chou Opus 2013 Concert mechandise |
For his last concert The Era in 2010, I bought a poster, a tee and a lightstick. However, I only bought a $10 lightstick this time. Firstly, the merchandise are not that attractive this time. The black tee does not seems to have any link to the concert. Secondly, I bought the cheapest ticket for The Era concert (and it is restricted view and yes, it was a terrible view), and since I'd spend a lot for Opus ticket, haha I should be more thrifty this time ya?

There are two posters standing outside and fans are queueing up to take photo of 浪子膏 (Jay's character in The Rooftop). |
 |
We are still very early. |

Photo taken from our seats. |
My lightstick! It was quite a faulty one and gave me troubles during the concert. But sometimes it worked really well. Haha...had a fun time waving it during the show. Sometimes I got too high and accidentally hit the person beside me. I apologized and she smiled back. There was once she hit me on the head accidentally too, and apologized to me. I acknowledged it and smiled back too. Haha, I guess we both don't mind as his concert was so awesome and we are really high!
 |
Fully packed! |
 |
The beautiful sea of pink. Fyi, pink is his favourite colour. |
 |
So it begins... |
Everyone got damn high with 惊叹号! I really love the fact that he sang quite a number of songs from his 3rd album He sang 龙拳 and 最后的战役 too for the opening.
I managed to snap a photo of the screen that captured his 8 packs. Love what he said before “哥练的不是肌肉,是毅力!”
 |
It was very fantasy and romantic when he sang
His concert always have a 自弹自唱 segment to showcase his musical talent. Hahaha
 |
This has the feel of 红尘客栈mv? |
(Actually I thought this is not 中国风 but 嘻哈...ok...
He also had a guitar 自弹自唱 segment. This is favourite segment. Though it was short, he sang 5 songs here. All are my favourite songs.
 |
Huge balloons on the floor! |
During the encore, he sang The huge balloons added a lot of joys to the concert. It was like a huge party!
He also sang 七里想。I was surprised this was the last song as it was only 10.40pm. It's still too early to end a concert!
It was an awesome night! It was great singing along with his songs and waving the lightstick like mad. I love the fact that he sang a good mix of old and new songs.
Nowadays, we see a lot of new singers emerging. But how many can stand on the top for 12 years? He is not the only one, but he is definitely one of those...
Songs he sang for Show 1 (6 June 2013): 驚歎號、龍拳、最后的戰役、天台、天台月光、比較大的大提琴、快門慢舞、一路向北、不能說的秘密、雙節棍、明明就、蝸牛、Mine
